About The Role
We’re hiring a Director of Marketing to join our team to design, lead and execute marketing
strategies for (1) selling NV1 direct to UHNW recreational buyers and (2) commercializing the
Powered by ENVGO platform within the marine industry.
This role is the first non-engineering hire! It requires a strategic builder who can thrive in a
fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and scale a high-performance marketing function.
You will define and own the go-to-market for B2C, B2B, and potentially B2G channels,
supported by internal and external resources.
ENVGO leverages AI-based tools across all aspects of the business to gain a competitive
advantage. The Director of Marketing will apply this same mindset across marketing
initiatives to deliver results faster, more efficiently, and with better ROI.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Responsible for determining the optimal marketing strategy to reach and engage target customers, industry stakeholders, and key partners
- Align marketing activities across all relevant channels with overall business objectives and support budget adherence.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities for both B2C and B2B markets.
- Contribute marketing strategy and materials for Series A fundraising and grant proposals.
Go-to-Market Execution: B2C & B2B
- Develop and implement measurable lead generation plans for both channels. Marketing channel selection and budget is based on ROI and test-and-learn results.
- Establish clear ICPs, buyer journeys, value propositions, and channel-specific messaging. Produce lightweight segment playbooks
- Deliver channel-specific activities including trade shows, digital marketing, content, website/SEO, community engagement, partnerships, and demos.
B2C Marketing
- Design and execute high-impact in-person activations (demo days, lakefront showcases, premium event integrations) tailored to our ICP in key regional markets, starting in Canada and expanding to the U.S. and internationally.
- Drive demo & tradeshow attendance, lead qualification, in support of sales.
B2B Marketing and Partner Engagement
- Create and execute a marketing strategy to position ENVGO's technology platform as the leading solution for traditional boat manufacturers highlighting integration-ready systems and faster time-to-market.
- Position ENVGO’s platform as the market-leading solution for OEMs and commercial operators.
- Build a compelling technical narrative for Powered by ENVGO.
Brand and Messaging
- Own ENVGO’s messaging and brand expression across B2C and B2B audiences.
- Ensure consistency across digital, physical, and experiential touchpoints.
- Train team members on key brand messages.
Team and Tools
- Lead junior marketing resources in all aspects of marketing execution.
- Build and manage a high-performance marketing tech stack.
- Define marketing KPIs and reporting practices to track success and drive ROI.
- Collaborate with sales to build a CRM-driven funnel from MQL → SQL → revenue.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years in strategic marketing roles, ideally in early-stage startups.
- Track record of successful in-person event execution, including trade shows and experiential activations that generate a robust lead pipeline.
- Strategic & hands-on experience across digital, content, events, brand, CRM, and analytics.
- Proven experience owning B2C + B2B GTM in cleantech, mobility, or high-performance hardware.
- Bonus: marine, EV, robotics, or OEM partnership experience.
